Golfing over the Lake Maggiore

The surroundings of Premeno are a continuous succession of golf fields, important sport structures and a suggestive uncontaminated nature, with small lakes surrounded by woods, making every walk pleasant and always exciting. About the golf fields, the territory of Premeno hosts some of the best golf fields of all Italy, such as the Golf Pian di Sole, strategically sited between the Val Grande National Park and the Lake Maggiore. Since 1962 this golf club has been much appreciated not only by the golf enthusiasts, but also by those approaching for the first time this sport made of precision and great determination.

The field is very characteristic, it has three levels on which the holes are placed, with water games, obstacles such as trees and large cracks, to make the game more interesting. Due to its importance, the Pian di Sole Golf Club often hosts several national competitions, and its a key point for the lovers of this sport.

Along the lake towards Verbania, then, we can find the Verbania Golf Club, while, going west of the Lake Maggiore, there are the famous Alpino Golf Club in the town of Stresa and the Golf Club Des Illes Borromées.
